Alamanda Palm Cove by Lancemore

Alamanda was absolutely amazing! The staff was amazing, the pools were friendly for everyone. With a spa, a warm pool, a cold pool and even an adults pool! Its location is beyond amazing, being right on the beach. It’s nice and quiet at night, with the slight touch of waves hitting the shore. The massage at the spa was sensational, with friendly staff. I definitely recommend Alamanda, for people of all ages! Thank you for the wonderful experience 🥰🥰

Okay… I’ll start this review by saying that it was not a bad massage. It was relaxing and fine. But that’s all it was.. fine. I’ve been to this spa multiple times in previous years and it was heavenly. Rooms overlooking the ocean, billowing curtains, a private plunge pool and hot tea after the massage. The spa now has moved locations and you receive your massage in a dark room at the back of the resort. This is misleading as the website, as well as the sign outside the resort still advertise the old spa. As well as this, you do not get massaged with who you book in for. They seem to just assign you to whoever they want even if you requested someone in particular. I also heard a very loud leaf blower or vacuum going outside the room for at least a third of the massage. If I’m paying $150, that’s not what I want to be listening to. I had the doubles massage with my mum and when chatting about the massage afterwards, she had received at least 6 hot stones throughout her message whereas I only had two and in different places. Why make the massages different? Honestly I was a bit disappointed with how this experience shaped up to previous ones I’ve had here.

Don’t bother - far better day spas in Palm Cove. Myself & a friend booked treatments as a holiday treat. Only ~10 minutes into the massage it started - a leaf blower & other various gardening/maintenance noises. Right outside the window. For the ENTIRE treatment time. Whilst the masseuse did her best to close the windows tightly & turn up the music, it was far from enjoyable. I was very surprised also to be charged the full treatment price given the incredibly poor experience was acknowledged by the staff members - both at the front desk & the masseuse. I was also surprised why they were not asked to stop or move to another area. I’d done yoga on the front lawn that morning & the gardener had no issues upon being asked to move to another area until the class was finished. I then emailed the head office team to give feedback privately, but was offering an embarrassingly small consolation of 25% off future treatments. Given I am a repeat customer of Lancemore and have spent thousands on accomodation, dining & spa treatments across several locations - it was certainly disappointing that my request for a discretionary refund (partial, not even full!) was not agreed to. I also called other day spas in the area to understand their contractor/gardening/maintenance schedules & they all confirmed it is done to minimise customer impact.

We stayed in the 3 bedroom beach front apartment with private pool, wow what a piece full relaxing weekend. Plenty of room for the 3 kids, relax at one of the pools in beautiful landscaped gardens or heated pool/spa. Take a stroll along the beach to any bar or resturant of your choice, for the sweet tooths there's an ice cream shop as well. If your looking for a romantic long weekend away or even a week with the kids, this is the place for you, it won't disappoint.

This condo is quite comfortable. Location is nice too, surrounded by many restaurants nearby. But equipment is a bit worn out, like washing machine etc. the only downside is not convenient to shop grocery nearby. The only small shop within walking distance is quite pricey for daily commodities. Better to get a rental car for better mobility.
